Introduction

Welcome to Adarsh ID Cards. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, use our services, or use the Adarsh Mobile Application.

By using our website and services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access our site or use our services.

We take your privacy seriously. We never sell your personal information to third parties.

Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, as well as information that is collected automatically when you use our services.

Personal Information You Provide

  • Contact Information: Name, email address, phone number, and address when you fill out our contact forms or request a quote.
  • School/Institution Details: School name, location, and requirements when placing orders.
  • Testimonials: Name, school affiliation, and review content when you submit feedback.
  • Order Information: Details about ID card designs, quantities, and specifications.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, time spent on pages, and navigation patterns.
  • IP Address: Your internet protocol address for security and analytics purposes.

Mobile Application Data

When you use the Adarsh Mobile Application, we may collect or process the following information to provide core app functionality:

  • Account Credentials: Login credentials (username and password) used to authenticate and secure your session within the app.
  • Card & Order Data: ID card assignments, order details, class/section information, and correction or reprint requests submitted through the app.
  • Uploaded Data Files: Data files such as Excel (.xlsx) or ZIP archives uploaded through the app for batch processing of student records.
  • Push Notification Token: A device notification token used solely to send order status updates and alerts to your device.
  • Usage & Session Data: Basic session metadata (login time, device type, app version) used to improve stability and performance.

The app does not request persistent access to your photo library or media storage. When a photo upload is needed (e.g., a student image), the app uses the Android Photo Picker — a system-level tool that lets you select a single image without granting the app any ongoing access to your gallery.

Android App Permissions

Transparency about permissions is important to us. Below is a full list of Android permissions the Adarsh app may request and why:

  • INTERNET — Required to communicate with our servers to sync orders, card data, and account information.
  • CAMERA (optional) — Used only when you choose to capture a photo directly within the app (e.g., taking a student photo for an ID card). This is optional and can be declined; you may use the Photo Picker instead.
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS — Allows the app to send you push notifications for order status updates. You can disable this in your device settings at any time.

Compliance with Google Play's Photo and Video Permissions Policy: To protect user privacy, our app is fully compliant with Google Play's Photo and Video Permissions policy. Because the Adarsh Mobile Application only requires one-time or infrequent access to select a media file (such as uploading a student photo for generating an ID card), it does not request or use broad, persistent media storage permissions like READ_MEDIA_IMAGES or READ_MEDIA_VIDEO. Instead, we use the privacy-safe Android Photo Picker—a secure system tool that lets you choose a single specific file, without granting the app ongoing access to your entire photo or video library.

You can review and change app permissions at any time by going to Settings → Apps → Adarsh ID Cards → Permissions on your Android device.
